Hi friend! So happy you are here. I’m Brandy, the brain behind BD Design. I have been repainting and redesigning furniture for years now so I started my blog a year and a half ago when I was wanting to showcase my work to future clients. But not long after that I wanted to also share other DIY projects I was doing as well as simple crafts and recipes. I love to throw a good party and get wrapped up in all the tiny details (my husband thinks I’m crazy!) but I love it. I was also a make up artist for YEARS, so you will also find beauty posts here and there!
I grew up in South Jordan, Utah (a suburb of Salt Lake City). I grew up with 3 brothers and no sisters so my mom and I had to stick together. She is a talented DIY person herself so I learned a lot from her. I married my college sweetheart, both BYU Alumni (Go Cougars), and together we have 2 girls (Avery and Izy) and 1 boy (Damon). After my husband finished law school in Ohio, we re-located to sunny Arizona and made this is our HOME.
Aside from being a full-time wife, mother, and blogger, I also run a successful business on the side. I am the creator of the ETSY Shop BD Design, selling my custom hand painted wood signs. Check it out here! I also still refinished furniture for clients in the Gilbert/Mesa/Chandler AZ area so if you ever want to give new life to your furniture, email me at email@example.com. Yes, I do sleep but just a little bit. Give me a Diet Coke and a great Pandora station and I can get things done!
I get asked a lot if I’m Mormon, and yes I am! I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (or LDS). I grew up in the church and served as a full time missionary in Texas. The gospel has taught me so much in life about my individual worth, faith, integrity, and most importantly my relationship with God and Jesus Christ. The gospel is true. It is real. I live it. And I love it. If you would like to know more about my faith, you can visit Mormon.org.
I am so glad you are choosing to spend YOUR precious time on my blog. If you have any questions or would love to collaborate on a project, please shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
